The Pinnacle accommodates all different types of weddings including ethnic wedding traditions. We recently hosted a reception for a traditional Indian wedding which was followed by a first-class feast provided by their own wedding caterer out of Chicago. The reception was held in our grand ballroom featuring classic white linens and chair covers accented with beautiful bright orange for the bows and napkins and warm golden ribbons. The floral centerpieces included gorgeous colorful bouquets and the four tier cake was displayed proudly as a focal point.  The couple chose a delectable set up of Hors D’oeuvres including selected cheeses, fresh fruits, bread, crackers, veggies and dip. Our Rainier room held the full buffet which featured an array of traditional Indian cuisine. Our professionally trained staff helped make this a magical night for the bride and groom and their family and friends!

Another Tidbit to Make Wedding Planning Easier ›

This post may attract a guy’s attention more than a woman’s, however I still wanted to share! For all of the newly engaged and techie couples a great new app called Appy Couple has arrived. Although the app is only available through apple right now, there is hope it may make an appearance on the android market soon.

APPY COUPLE takes the wedding website to a whole new level by allowing users to  choose their design, create and publish the app. Since a majority of internet users are avidly on their phones more than computers Appy Couple allows the couple to send save the dates, invites and keep all guests informed all by just using the app. Guests can download the app for free so there is no cost associated for guests. Eventually there will be a small cost for couples to use the app.

Here are Just A Few Reasons Why Engaged Couples Should Check it Out:

  • It’s easy to design and personalize.
  • Makes communicating with guests easier and fun.
  • Allows users to upload photos with the click of a button.
  • Integrates facebook, twitter and email to allow easier sharing of photos.

Bridal Shower

Looking for a great place to host a Bridal Shower? We have the perfect room for you. The Salon located in The Pinnacle is the perfect size for a gathering of guests. The room situated right off the Terrace has great natural light and offers enough room for up to 50 guests. This photo is from a Bridal Shower at The Pinnacle on Saturday March 11,2012. The Maid of Honor did a great job with all of the details. The picture below is the Brides table where they placed a reserved sign so guests knew it was just for the wedding party and family members

My favorite part of the shower was the tablescape design. The Maid of Honor used bible verses from the couple’s wedding invitations as the main  centerpiece, along with flower pots wrapped in their wedding colors, blue and lime green surrounding the verse. The bride did not want it to look too formal so they went with flower pots.

Each guest had their own margarita glass filled with vegetables and dip at their place setting. Instead of the traditional vegetable platter, this added color to the tablescape and gave guests a little something to snack on before lunch was served. They also had a sheet With Lindsay’s name on it, where guests could leave words of advice for the bride and groom.

Here is a closer look at the flowers that were used as the centerpieces and the napkins that had the brides new last initial on there.

The fruit skewers were placed in the pineapple creating a nice display of the fruit.

Love Is Sweet!! We created a Dessert Bar filled with the Brides Favorite Cupcakes, Cookies and Truffles.

Each time the Bride opened a gift the guests got a special treat of their own. The Bubble ball was filled with individually wrapped favors as a thank you for spending their Sunday afternoon with the Bride.

The Lime green patterned napkins were used to add some color to the Dessert Bar!

The Brides favorite drink is Lemonade so we surprised her with it!

This shower really turned out great, the guests had fun, the bride loved the environment and enjoyed all of the details and of course the time spent with her closest family and friends.

We hope that this post will give you some tips and ideas when planning your shower with us!

This photo was from the same wedding as the video, Ashlee and Jake Grosjean. JP Photography did a great job capturing the couples first dance. Check out those lights! We thought they were a nice addition to the ballroom when a bride and groom requested them for a wedding back in July. We loved them so much we kept them up! Reminds me of a beautiful starry night! Anyone else?

This video was done by the talented Dale Fordham of Fordham Footage. He captured the couples wedding day from the early morning to the very last dance. Ashlee and Jake Grosjean who were married at Cedar Creek Church had their reception at Central Park West.  My favorite part of this video besides of course the obvious love and affection the couple have for one another is their entrance into the reception hall. Central Park West’s spark-tacular entry took the guests by surprise.

Featured Wedding: “Something Blue”

In addition to the Pinnacle’s ballroom, this wedding also utilized our amazing outdoor venue, The Twylite Terrace. This large space is perfect for cocktail hour, the wedding ceremony, or overflow during the reception. It is located directly off of the ballroom, so is very convenient.

The Twylite Terrace has a built-in bar, a stone firepit with seating, and a waterwall. The bride added some decor outside with flowers and linens. The patio furniture and cocktail tables are included. Another feature is the beautiful flooring. With fiber-optic lighting built into the concrete, it gives a subtle yet beautiful glow at night.

As guests entered The Pinnacle, they could easily find their table by consulting this beautiful seating chart.

As guests arrived and found their seats, they could enjoy the First Impressions Station.

Having varying heights and style in your centerpieces makes the ballroom look more interesting. This bride did a great job of creating a gorgeous space by varying the height, shape, and color of centerpieces. She also varied the shape and linen color of the guest tables.

Each place setting was adorned with a silver charger plate, giving just a little more sparkle to the room. Don’t they look beautiful against the navy linens?!

The bride brought in beautiful silver chivari chairs. She used white floorlength table coverings with an overlay.

The dining style tables create visual interest in the room.

The silver and white cake coordinated perfectly with the chivari chairs and linens.

The guest tables surrounded the marble dance floor for the perfect view of the First Dance!

The Pinnacle has beautifully swept fabric on the ceiling. This bride added even more over the dance floor for a more dramatic touch. The band, Nine Lines, got the guests up on their feet!

What a beautiful celebration of an amazing couple!

Personalize Your Reception Venue

One of The Pinnacle’s recent brides had a great idea to personalize the ballroom during her reception. They placed groups of framed photos around the room. The frames were in coordinating colors with her wedding colors. Photos could include pictures of the couple, family, and bridal party.

Include the sign-in table, coffee station table, bathroom counters, entry tables, the bar, and more.

The dramatic “Ballerina” tablecloth is ideal for cake tables, head tables, bridal showers, or anytime you want to feel like a princess. This new product was brought to us by LinenChairCovers.com.
